Paul Adom-Otchere, the host of Good Evening Ghana, has said the laptop of the originator of the viral video of President Nana Akufo-Addo allegedly receiving a bribe from Alhaji Abass, the Director of Urban Roads, has been seized by the security authorities.

Speaking on the Editorial segment of his ‘Good Evening Ghana’ show on Thursday, December 3, Adom-Otchere said, “Eventually, the laptop of the author of the video has been collected. It has actually been seized and surprisingly, on the laptop is another video, really the same video…”

“This is the most dastardly, the most ridiculous [attempt] to have happened in the fourth republic and it is painful that it is happening not in 1992, not in 1996, not in the year 2000 [but] twenty years after the year 2000,” Adom-Otchere averred.

“Technology has come, Facebook, editing machines, everything, people can just look at the video and determine it’s been edited. Twenty years after the turn of the century, Ghanaian politicians are taking us back to 1951.”

The viral video of the president, allegedly receiving a bribe of $40,000 is said to have been recorded by one Salis Yakubu Atsuluho who owns “The Salis” newspaper.

According to Kweku Baako Jnr., the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, he introduced the Salis gentleman to his protégé, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Meanwhile, Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has asked the general public to disregard the bribery allegation levelled against the President, stressing it is false information being propagated by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

While noting that the government has braced itself for more fabricated and concocted information with a few days to the elections, Mr Oppong Nkrumah said the encounter captured on tape ensued at a time Akufo-Addo was not yet president.

“Whilst we are not surprised by the new low by the opposition candidate and his party, we remind Ghanaians that they should expect more of such falsehoods and fabrications in the days leading up to the election,” he said in a statement.

“It has become clear that candidate Mahama’s failed campaign now sees fake news and fabrications, as well as an amendment of their earlier promises as the only hope to salvage what is going to be another decisive victory for President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party.

“For the avoidance of doubt, President Akufo-Addo has never been involved in any untoward conduct, let alone take a bribe. The original footage of the incident shows it clearly as a 2016 campaign donation and nothing more,” he stressed.

Mustapha Hamid who was the spokesperson of Akufo-Addo during the 2016 electioneering campaign has also discredited the video. He maintains the amount that was donated was GH¢40,000.

In an age where many Ghanaian musicians make more money from gigs than record sales, a gospel singer still does not understand why gospel musicians should charge for their performance.

Not that Mrs. Leticia Acheampong Hars does not understand the prevailing issues; far from that.

She is just surprised why some gospel artistes could boycott shows including church events simply because their charges were not met.

This, she insists is simply not right because “singing the word of God is not business’.

‘I prefer a situation where the church or event organisers will bless me after my ministration, but not to charge them’ she told The Spectator Agoro on Monday.

Mrs. Leticia Acheampong Hars known in showbiz circle as QueenLet said most gospel artistes had taken it as a business but the primary objective of a minister was to win souls and propagate the word of God to the world.

QueenLet who doubles as a nurse, said gospel artistes needed to find other things to do that would fetch them money.

‘Money from our music should only come in as supplementary support not the main source of your income”.

Mrs Hars  is currently promoting her two singles titled ‘Dear Holy Spirit and Anwawadwuma – marvellous God.

The German-based gospel artiste added that her two singles talked about the Holiness and the handi work of God.

She used this opportunity to thank the award winning gospel artiste, Esther Smith and Rev. Dr Mary Ghansah for supporting her ministry by endorsing her singles.

She urged up and coming artistes to also make spirit filled songs in order to win more souls for Christ.

“We need to understand the purpose of gospel music, we don’t just sing, problems must run away when we sing, signs and miracles must happen and souls must be won”, stressed .

A good wife will never divorce an impotent husband – Counselor Charlotte [Video]

Ghanaian Counselor Charlotte Oduro has advised married women and those preparing to get married not to opt for divorce when their husbands are impotent.

She noted that marriage is not always rosy and so the couple, particularly the women, should stand solidly with their men when storms arise on the journey and sail through together.

“If you want to marry, you need to understand what marriage is all about. Ask yourself will you be able to go through the storms in the marriage. Abeiku, everybody has got a storm in a marriage but the current generation women give up when the storm comes. She will say the love is over; I don’t love him again all because the man’s money has finished. So, the foundation the woman brought to the marriage was based on money. When the money is not there anymore, there is a problem. But is the woman seeing beyond the issue?”

To her, many women, especially of this new generation, have lost the plot when it comes to marriage.

Watch Video Below:

“You can marry a man and for two years, he’s active in bed but an unfortunate thing could happen and he can’t perform well in bed again. Are you going to divorce him because he’s not performing? There is more to marriage than this. You stand with the man because you see beyond. You pray for him. You stand in every storm. Marriage is not all good,” she said.
