Rev Eastwood Anaba to Pastors

Rev Eastwood Anaba, the President of the Eastwood Anaba Ministries (EAM) says Pastors must live lifestyles that reflect the gospel of Jesus Christ which they preach to their congregations.

He said if the lifestyles of Pastors contradicted the messages they preached, they had no business with the holy pulpit and altar of God, saying “In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and that word was God.”

Likewise, he said Pastors must be the messages they preach, “So your message must be you, and you must be your message. Christianity is in crisis because many Pastors are preaching what they are not.”

Reverend Anaba, who is also the Founder of Fountain Gate Chapel (FGC), said this in a sermon at the Church’s 31 days programme, which began on January 1, on the theme; “Reposition”, held at Desert Pastures, a branch of FGC in Bolgatanga, capital of the Upper East Region.

The programme, which is the maiden event of the Church in 2022, brought together members of FGC for “repentance, revival, and restoration to reposition” them for a “new experience” in 2022.

Reverend Anaba told his congregation including Pastors of the Church that “Preparing a sermon does not give you the opportunity to preach, being a sermon is what allows you to preach.

“When you prepare the sermon and what you say is who you are, that is the time you qualify to preach,” noting that Pastors who indulged in fornication and adultery had no right to talk about holiness.

The Cleric emphasized that some Pastors were “Preaching messages that they not. Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands sure. The Lord knows them that are His, and let every man who mentions the name of Christ, depart from iniquity.”

He prayed that God would touch the lives of Pastors to preach His true gospel, live their lifestyles according to their sermons, and be role models to their congregation and members of the public.

“I pray in the name of Jesus; may God touch your life as a man and a woman of God. I see you take responsibility and say God can trust me,” the EAM President said.

England defender Harry Maguire has been mocked by a Ghanaian MP who used a football analogy to describe the nation’s vice president.

Hon. Issac Adongo labelled the country’s Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as an “Economic Maguire”, likening his performance in the role to Maguire’s decline since joining Manchester United.

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is a Ghanaian economist and former central banker who serves as the 5th Vice President of Ghana in the 4th Ghanaian Republic.

“…tackling Manchester players and giving assists to opponents. Mr Speaker, when the opponent failed to score, Maguire will score for them,” Mr Adongo said, as laughter erupted in the chamber.

“Mr Speaker, you remember in this country we also have an economic Maguire.”

Mr Isaac Adongo is a Ghanaian politician and member of the 8th Ghanian Parliament representing the Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. He was first elected in 2016 and he was re-elected in 2020.

Mօnᥱy doubler and spiritualist, Dr Patience Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been arrested.

Nana Agradaa, known for her moneymaking ritual, ‘sika gari’, was arrested by a joint team of Police and National Security Intelligence Operatives, in collaboration with the National Communications Authority on Tuesday night.

Two TV channels – Thunder TV and Ice1 TV – that allegedly broadcast money doubling content at Kasoa in the Central Region, were also shut down for operating without licenses.

The team seized two pieces of equipment each used in the alleged illegal transmission from both premises.

This was announced by the Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful on her social media page on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

Information available suggests the TV channels owned by the self-styled traditional priestess have been operating without authorization for years leading to their closure.

The state’s action follows recent concerns about the broadcasting of inappropriate content in the media space by persons parading themselves as spiritualists

It is on the heels of the gruesome killing of an 11-year-old boy allegedly by two teenagers for money ritual purposes.

Below is the Minister’s full post:

“At about 2200hrs on 20/04/2021, a joint team of Police and National Security Intelligence Operatives, in collaboration with the National Communications Authority, stormed the premises of two satellite television stations, namely, Thunder TV and Ice1 TV, who were illegally transmitting without licenses, at Kasoa in the Central Region

The team arrested the offenders among which included the owner of Thunder TV, Patience Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, and seized two (2) pieces of equipment each used in the illegal transmission from both premises. Nana Agradaa advertises her “Sika Gari” on her TV station, which she claims is her personal god that multiplies money with some rituals she makes. She has hence admitted to this illegality and is currently in custody assisting with further investigations.

The influx of unregulated television stations on air has led to the promotion of certain content which may affect public order, public morality, and the rights and reputation of others. As such, efforts are underway to rid the system of this canker and reduce overcrowding on Ghana’s airwaves.”
